Dr. Vivek Kaushal, MD, DNB, Sr. Professor and Head, Radiotherapy Dept has been a Gold Medallist in his academic carrier and has won many medals and top positions in MBBS career. Dr. Kaushal did his MD radiotherapy from Prestigious PGIMER Chandigarh and was awarded Silver Medal (First order) in MD radiotherapy. After successfully completing his senior residency in PGIMER Chandigarh for 3 years. Dr. Kaushal won the Commonwealth scholarship for cancer research in the United Kingdom. He has been a visiting fellow in Cookridge Hospital Leeds and Christie Hospital and Holt Radium Institute Manchester. He worked as Senior Registrar in Royal Marsden Hospital, England in Dept. of Radiotherapy & Oncology for one year. Offered a job in United Kingdom which he declined, he came back to India to Head the Dept of Radiotherapy Mohan Dai Oswal Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation Ludhiana. He joined PGIMS Rohtak as a faculty member in 1990.
He is the Founder Member of Indian College of Radiation Oncologists. He is on the editorial board of the Journal of Cancer Research and Therapeutics. Dr. Kaushal was the editor-in-chief of the Journal “Radiation Oncology” for the 11 years. This Journal is the official publication of Northern Chapter of Association of Radiation Oncologist of India. He had been associated with the organisation of CME programmes of the Northern chapter of Association of Radiation Oncologists of India in the capacity of vice president of the association. In addition to being an oncologist he is a national level chess player and has represented Haryana State in National Chess Championship. Dr. Kaushal has more than 200 quality publications in national and international journals of repute. His research work has been quoted in Perez Text Book of Radiotherapy. His main interests are conformal radiation treatment planning, head and neck cancer, gynaecological malignancies and cancer brachytherapy.

Dr Rakesh Dhankhar, Professor, is a Graduate and Post Graduate in Radiotherapy from PGIMS, Rohtak. He has worked as Senior Resident in Department of Radiotherapy, PGIMS Rohtak, from June 1999 to June 2002. He went to African Oncology Institute, Sabratha, Libya, only exclusive Oncology Institute in Libya, Africa, as Chief of Radiation Oncology Department in 2002, started the Department there for one year and three months, as well as in between, his services were also offered in Department of Radiation Oncology, Tripoli Medical Centre, Tripoli, the Capital of Libya on special requests . He has been the source of inspiration for cancer patients of Libya. During that tenure Dr. Dhankhar used to meet the highly specialized experts from IAEA (Vienna), reputed oncologists from all over Europe, he was offered a hefty salary in Libya as well as to start a new Department of Radiation Oncology in Zambia, Africa, but he refused. He rather chose to serve cancer patients of India, in PGIMS Rohtak, his home town. He is a life member of the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI) from 1997 and many other reputed National and International Associations. He has published more than 100 papers in national, international and zonal journals. His interests are in Head & Neck, Lung, Cervix and Breast Malignancies.

Dr. N. Balasubramanian is a Post Graduate in Physics from ANJA College, Sivakasi affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai. He stated his career as a Junior college lecturer in Physics. In 1989, he has completed one year Post Graduate Diploma in Radiological Physics conducted by Division of Radiological Protection, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai. After completion he had worked for more than 2 years as a Junior Physicist in Shree Shiddheshwar Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Solapur. He has vast Experience in Commissioning of Cobalt –60 (Theratron Phoenix), 3D ASHA Treatment planning System with Virtual Simulation, 6MV Indigenous Linear Accelerator from SAMEER, RFA 300 from Scanditronix Wellhofer, Sweden in Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sevagram, Maharashtra State. He attained multisystem proficiency in Microselectron HDR Brachytherapy. He Participated in TLD Intercomparision Programme with IAEA / WHO collaboration Centre. Dr Narayan Prasad Patel, Professor in Radiation Physics has completed Post Graduate (M. Sc. Physics) from Govt. College of Science, Raipur (under Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University) and Post PG Diploma in Radiological Physics from Division of Radiological Protection, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai (Under Bombay University). He has completed his PhD in the field of Medical/ Radiation Physics from Govt. College of Science, Raipur (under Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University). He has top positions in the most of the classes at school level and also in the merit list of M. Sc. Physics. After completion of education life, he has worked as Radiation Safety Officer in the field of Industrial Radiography for short period then started his career in Medical field as Physicist from Nargis Dutt Memorial Cancer Hospital, Barshi. He joined as Lecturer in Medical Physics at A H Regional Cancer Center, Cuttack in July 1997 and served there continuous for eleven years. He has experience with Telecobalt Unit, Simulator Simulix-HP, Multidata TPS and Gamma Med Plus High Dose Rate Brachytherapy unit. He has visited Netherland for the user training of Simulix-HP simulatror in July 2001. He has done extensive research work related with the dosimetry of Ir-192 Brachytherapy high dose arte source. He has more than 25 national and international publications in his credits. One of his research papers has been published in Britisha Journal of Radiology. He has been awarded as “Young Investigator Award” by Association of Medical Physicist of India for the year of 2006 at AMPI conference at Bhubaneswar in Nov. 2006. He has reviewed many research articles for International Journal viz. “Physics in Medicine & Biology and Brachytherapy”. He has also awarded national fellowship from Association of Radiation Oncologists of India for the year of 2013. He joined this Regional Cancer Center as Assistant Professor in Radiation Physics on Aug. 2, 2008.
